About Us

Welcome to Waterlily Childminding

The best of both worlds

At Waterlily Childminding, we have been committed to providing exceptional childcare services for over a decade. As a family-run business, we welcome you to our home, and treat you as our extended family.

Waterlily is the perfect sweetspot between a nursery and childminders. We are large enough for children to be part of a group; building social skills through play, and learning through observation. We are also small enough for children to have individual attention, love and support from our team. All of our children have strong bonds with the whole team at Waterlily, and we take great pride in the relationships we foster and the progress children make with us.

And to top it off, we offer flexibility in the arrangements we can provide. We are happy to discuss your personal requirements and create a bespoke offering to suit your situation.

FUNDING

We provide funded places for children from 9 months of age.

We accept funding options for both 15 and 30 hour initiatives.

We also accept children whose parents are eligible for tax free childcare.

We are supportive of helping parents apply for the right support to fund their child's place with us.

What makes us different?

A unique hybrid

Dedicated facilities

Unlike most childminders we have two dedicated rooms for the children, allowing us to provide a stimulating environment for older and younger groups. We also have a garden with numerous toys for the children to play with. We set high standards for our facilities and invest in them each year to keep them in top condition.

The big wide world

We prioritise a well-rounded experience for our children. That's why we take them out regularly to explore the world around them. In 2024, we've taken trips to the Natural History Museum, made pizzas at Osteria in Church Street, toured Twickenham stadium, picked fruit and vegetables at Garsons farm and even visited Parliament. We also enjoy frequent visits to Kew Gardens, Bushy Park, Richmond Park, a local farm, and Kempton Steam Museum.

Cultural experience

We take pride in our Iranian heritage and strive to share it with the children in our care. We will talk in Farsi around the children, introduce them to our traditions, and provide them with a weekly taste of home-cooked Persian food. We also welcome parents to join us in celebrating our culture, with our Iranian New Year (Nowruz) party and our annual meal at a local Persian restaurant.

Homecooked meals

We are dedicated to providing our children with delicious and nutritious home-cooked meals every day. Our menus are carefully crafted by our trained chef, Hassan, to ensure that they are well-balanced and energizing for the children. Everything is prepared at the setting. You can be rest assured that your child will be well-fed and nourished while in our care.
